Accuracy is not an afterthought.
Medical translation requires more than language proficiency. It depends on understanding terminology, clinical context and the exact meaning of every detail.
I prioritize source-text fidelity, terminological consistency, coherent style and careful quality checks. This means reviewing numbers, dates, laboratory values, units of measurement and technical formatting with as much care as the language itself.
My work is supported by scientific literature, medical reference resources (including PubMed and Embase), ongoing professional development and CAT tools including SDL Trados Studio and memoQ.
Teaching, interpreting & beyond
I am also qualified to teach English Language and Literature and hold postgraduate specializations in Special Educational Needs (SEN). I have professional teaching experience alongside my language work.
My translation and interpreting work also covers the automotive, engineering, legal, corporate, tourism and hospitality sectors.
